Making a Referral

DUE TO THE ONGOING CORONAVIRUS SITUATION, WE ARE CURRENTLY OPERATING A DIFFERENT REFERRAL SYSTEM TO NORMAL. 

 

For Furniture provision, please complete a referral using the link below:

For Food or Clothing referrals, please follow the steps detailed below.


 

STEP ONE

STOREHOUSE PROVISION WORKS ON A REFERRAL ONLY BASIS. WE PARTNER WITH NUMEROUS AGENCIES, CHARITIES & STATUTORY BODIES ACROSS EVERY DEMOGRAPHICS OF POVERTY. ACROSS EVERY DEMOGRAPHICS OF POVERTY.

Before making a referral, we ask that you fully identify how Storehouse can best help your client by assessing their existing circumstances.

If you would like to become a referring partner, please contact a member of the Storehouse team to arrange a conversation.

 

 

STEP TWO

PLEASE EITHER PROVIDE THE FAMILY OR INDIVIDUAL WITH A REFERRAL LETTER ON YOUR AGENCY’S LETTER HEADED PAPER OR EMAIL INFO@STOREHOUSEBELFAST.COM, AND INVITE THEM TO VISIT US AT THE STOREHOUSE CENTRE DURING OUR OPENING HOURS.

The referral will then be valid for six months, so your client doesn’t need to keep coming back to you each time they need further assistance.

Please include the following information in your referral letter:

  1. Name of family/individual
  2. Date of Birth
  3. Home address
  4. How many people are in the household/family
  5. A brief description of their current circumstances and why they are being referred
  6. What they are being referred for, i.e food, furniture, clothing; being as specific as possible.

We are not able to accept more than one referral letter in a six month period, so once your client reaches their limit of provision, we would not be able to accept a new referral until the six month period has ended.

 

STEP THREE

ONCE YOUR CLIENT ATTENDS THE STOREHOUSE CENTRE WITH THEIR
REFERRAL LETTER, WE WILL BE ABLE TO ASSIST THEM WITH THE FOLLOWING:

  1. Six food parcels – the frequency is up to the service user but we cannot provide more than one food parcel per week
  2. We will offer them a clothing appointment at a later date. For each referral we are able to provide two to three full outfits of clothes per family member

If after six months, your client needs further support, we ask that you review their current circumstances before making a new referral.

Everything we give away has been given to Storehouse by donation, so we can’t guarantee that your client will receive everything they need on their first visit.
